Persians | The Podcast

During the worst of the first pandemic lockdown in 2020, I developed the idea to make a podcast about a new Irish-language version of Aeschylus’ Persians. It would document plans to produce Europe’s oldest play in Europe’s oldest (vernacular) language.

The show was broadcast nightly during Dublin’s Theatre Festival in September 2020, and a live performance followed on the Peacock Stage at the Abbey Theatre in January 2022.
